Where is Karen? (Or as the wheels turn)
Is it really a month since I last posted a blog? It seems like yesterday. Between the Facebook giveaway, some minor health issues, and writing my little heart out to meet self-imposed deadlines, blogging has taken a back seat. But the wheels have been turning…
Anyway, this is what I’ve been doing:
- I finished the first draft of my parallel universe sci-fi novella, now titled “Known Strangers”. However, this will have to wait until November for further attention because…
- I went straight on to the first draft of a steampunk sleuth novella, which has to be submitted by the end of October (no guarantees of acceptance). I’m almost finished, but edits might have to wait until September because…
- In June, I start a three-month horror novella course with Crystal Lake Entertainment. This will give me a chance to work with the amazing Joe Mynhardt. So, I’ve also been doing some prep work to get all my ideas for the plot and characters in good shape before we start.
What was I thinking? But it is all good. Even though I’ve had no time to write new short stories. The only publications I’m likely to have this year are my two novels and two stories in upcoming anthologies. These are:
The Black Beacon Book of Pirates
